Agentic AI
AI systems that plan, decide, and act on multi-step goals with minimal human oversight.
Also known as: AI agents · Autonomous AI · Agentic systems
What is Agentic AI?
Agentic AI describes LLM-powered systems that go beyond single-turn chat — they plan a sequence of steps, call tools, observe results, and adapt. Unlike a one-shot prompt, an agent runs until a goal is met or a stop condition fires. Examples: a research agent that browses, summarises, and emails a brief; a sales agent that enriches leads and drafts follow-ups; a coding agent that opens a PR end-to-end. Agentic AI is the active frontier in 2026, and ONROL's AI Orchestrator track is built around shipping production agents.
