AI Agent
An AI system that decides its own next action and takes multi-step actions autonomously.
Also known as: Autonomous Agent · AI Worker
What is AI Agent?
An AI agent is an LLM-driven system that can plan, decide, and execute multi-step actions without human intervention at each step. Examples: an agent that reads your email, drafts replies, and schedules follow-ups; an agent that researches a topic by browsing the web and writing a report. Agents are the 'AI does the whole job, not just one step' frontier. ONROL's Orchestrator track covers agent design + safety patterns.
